Ever wonder why the locals call it Mallette Park? A super long time ago, 1894 from what we are told – The Mallette family spent a long winter in the Valley before Red River was born. Mallette Park is located on the banks of Mallette Creek  at the mouth of Mallette Canyon. This park is known for it’s wildlife, a nature path by the stream, a tall rock that is perfect for climbing, a challenging disc golf course, a modern playground that your kids are bound to love, skateboard park, basketball and volleyball courts. Make a day of it as the park is perfect for a picnic with benches, picnic tables, a few old mines and a shelter building for the unknown mountain weather.
