The history of the Community House is the story of a few families and their devotion to traditional American values. In the early 1940’s a few families wanted Red River to have a venue where they and their fellow neighbor could come and worship, get married, play, dance and of course sustain the culture and history of Red River, NM. Through their dedication and hard work, the Community House became a reality. Today, 75 years later, the building and its programs continue that legacy.
The Community House is a non-profit organization and is governed by a volunteer board of trustees. All of our activities and services are offered free of charge, and we rely on financial contributions in order to operate.
