The New Mexico Department of Transportation will begin bridge rehabilitation work on NM 578 at mile marker 1.390 east of the Town of Red River. This bridge rehabilitation project is scheduled to be completed September 20, 2017; weather permitting.
Starting September 6, NM 578 northbound and southbound lanes will be reduced to one lane. Temporary signals are in place 24 hours a day seven days a week, and they will guide traffic through the work zone. Traffic can expect minor delays during this time. Villa Lobos Construction of Las Cruces, New Mexico is the contractor for the project.
